About Me

Currently, I serve as the Executive Assistant at Douglas Leadership Academy, a distinguished New York-based organization dedicated to empowering Uganda through high-quality education initiative. This role has not only cultivated my drive and ambition, but has also inspired me in countless meaninful ways, shaping both my personal and professional journey.

Being phenomenal, ambitious and proficient would be Courtney’s middle name if she were born in this modern age. Courtney is a young lady from a modest background who grow up from Makindye, Kampala and later moved to Namugongo. Her parents are a true definition of the saying, "Spare the rod and spoil the child," to make her who she has become today. Courtney is a first born among three children who has caught up to being a deputy parent. Being a deputy parent was the backbone of her journey to becoming a leader. The chores given to her at the time felt tough, but guess who is tougher now?

Gaining admission to Gayaza High School was the pivotal moment that truly shaped my identity and trajectory. Serving as the School Council Vice Chairperson (2023-2024) granted me the opportunity to navigate the challenges with resilience and wisdom, teaching me how to handle adversity and turn every situation into an opportunity for growth. She was also actively involved in various clubs during high school, serving on committees in key leadership roles, including Public Relations Officer of the Language Club, Projects Manager and Internal Coordinator of the Youth Future Farmers Of Africa Club.

During Courtney’s Senior Six Vacation, she embarked on the program Boundless Minds Mentorship, an experiential initiative designed to equip young people with essential soft skills for the professional world. Through this program, she has honed her abilities in public speaking, marketing, entrepreneurship, and a host of other invaluable competencies, preparing her future success.

Keeping best for last, God is an aspect that cannot cherish from Courtney’s life. She has devoted much of her free time to the church, lending her voice to the choir, leading the Praise and Worship Ministry, and wholeheartedly serving in the Sunday School Ministry.

Courtney is really passionate about empowering her fellow youth to rise into impactful leaders, creating a ripple effect where one generation lifts up the next. She is currently looking forward to joining university and participating in programs aimed at empowering her fellow youth.
